ANSSI

Created in 2009 as part of the Prime Minister’s Office and under the authority of the Secretary General for Defence and National Security, the French Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI) is the national authority in matters of cybersecurity and cyberdefence. The French cybersecurity model relies on the strict separation of defensive and offensive missions at the state level and, within this framework, ANSSI is responsible for coordinating the defence and protection of information systems.

As such, the Agency’s primary objective is, at the interministerial level, to construct and organise the protection of the country from cyberattacks and to contribute to the stability of the cyberspace. Its activities are part of the state’s sovereign duties, in the general interest of public security policy and of administrative, economic, and broader societal resilience.

ANSSI’s work revolves around five main missions:

DGA

La DGA est l’expert technique référent du ministère des Armées en matière de cyberdéfense, de l’anticipation de la menace à la mise en œuvre de cybersolutions pour la défense et les hautes autorités de l’État.
La DGA assure, principalement sur le site de Bruz, toutes les activités permettant de garantir aux armées qu’elles disposent des solutions leur permettant de maîtriser les risques cyber.
Dans un contexte de menace très évolutive, les experts de DGA Maîtrise de l’information exercent des activités d’analyse de la menace à très forte valeur ajoutée, ils prototypent les solutions de protection et de défense au profit des forces en s’appuyant sur des méthodes agiles et s’assurent que les systèmes livrés aux forces sont au bon niveau.
Pour disposer d’une capacité d’expertise à la hauteur des enjeux majeurs portés par la cyberdéfense et pour faire face à l’évolution rapide des menaces, la DGA recrute, sur le site de DGA Maîtrise de l’information à Bruz, des ingénieurs de très haut niveau, spécialisés dans l’analyse et la prévention des attaques informatiques, ainsi que dans la conception de systèmes et d’outils de cybersécurité et d’armes cyber. OpenFacto

OpenFacto is a non-profit organisation based in Paris, France, which aims to promote Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and create a sense of community for the French-speaking OSINT scene.

We publish articles and guides on our website and train journalists, activists, researchers, students and lawyers. OpenFacto also offers its help and assistance to newsrooms and NGOs, while doing free trainings for specific actors, for example SIRAJ, a group of Syrian journalists exiled in Europe.

OpenFacto is a self-financing and self-sufficient organisation, with funds coming from annual memberships, small individual donations and revenue from our trainings. We did not benefit from grants or institutional funding programs, we are fully independent and sole decision-makers regarding our editorial policy.

ELECTROLAB

The Electrolab association aims to promote the non-commercial transfer of scientific and technical knowledge and expertise, to engage in activities that promote science and technology among the general public, and to provide its members with a workspace and shared resources for collaborative projects with a cultural, humanitarian, scientific, artistic, or technical component.

OCOI

The Indian Ocean Cybersecurity Observatory (OCOI) is an association dedicated to promoting cybersecurity in the Indian Ocean region. Founded in July 2023, the OCOI brings together cybersecurity experts, researchers, IT professionals, and students.

In early 2024, the OCOI launched the Hack The Box Indian Ocean Meetups in partnership with FabLab H3O to continue enhancing the community’s skills.

Participating in leHACK2025, the largest French-speaking hacking conference, is a valuable opportunity for the OCOI.

OSSIR

L’Observatoire de la Sécurité des Systèmes d’Information et des Réseaux (OSSIR) is a non-profit association, created in 1996, and open to everyone interested in cybersecurity.

ISSA France Security Tuesday- Lumérique

Lumérique brings together a variety of original educational initiatives that it implements in schools and organizations alike. It offers workshops and also designs dedicated content.
